Access to birdwatching site

Municipal water reservoir. Two principle observation points: Le Parc du Vieux Moulin (the old mill) where there are picnic tables and the Saint Martin Church parking lot.

The area

Well-maintained public access points on the edge of the reservoir provide a view of a large part of the water. Tour the site by canoe or small boat and imagine yourself on the Amazon as you glide under the giant willows that lean out from the shore.

Birds to watch for

A fine place to watch shorebirds: Osprey and Great Egret. In autumn there is an impressive migration of Canada and Snow Geese that stop here in September and October. A good spot to see shorebirds during their migration.
